I play very few modern games now (seen it all before sigh!) and have become 90% retro so for me less playing and more collecting depending on the cash flow of course
For me i want to increase my Atari2600 Cartridge collection :D

Keep in mind that there are 2 versions of the Master System and 2 of the Megadrive. I'm only missing the Saturn and Mega CD Model 1 but since 2 years I have a strict "buying only cartridge based systems" rule. Which I broke recently to get the Mega CD 2...

I'm going to hook up my 22"(I think that's the size) Trinitron and enjoy all my retro games in quality CRT glory.

No buying this year (saving for a wedding) - only playing. I have a large enough collection to last me for at least the year of 2011.

Well, let's see. If I get a Wii for Xmas or sometime next year I'd like to spend time playing games on that console. There's quite a bit on the Wii that has my interest now.

Other titles I want to play now that possibly could end up falling into 2011 would be Enslaved, Lara Croft:Guardian of Light, Castlevania:Lord of Shadows and Dead Rising 2. Batman Arkham Asylum 2 and Sly Cooper 4 will be on my radar if they come out next year

As far as collecting, I'm still looking to expand my CIB Super Nintendo collection. I also am interested in acquiring sealed copies of some of my favorite PS2 games. PS2 prices are real cheap right now. I found you can get sealed copies of each Sly Cooper game for about ten bucks now. I'd love to get a few of the Ratchet and Clank games sealed and I intend to buy the PAL copy of Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty since us Americans got screwed and were not given a retail version of the game, just a DLC one. Seems to be an annoying trend(look at the recent HD re-releases of the Prince of Persia games). I might also start hunting down CIB copies of all the Mega Man games, since I have the original one CIB(with the classic, bad cover art LOL)

I have a goal of completing every game listed on the "Best Video Games of All Time" lists that appeared in EGM 100, 150, and 200. I have completed most of the games on these lists; so, most of the games that remain are ones that I was not particularly interested in when they were released. Since I am easily distracted by flashy new releases, it is slow going at the moment. I intend to start a thread on this at some point (probably after I <finally> wrap up Military Madness and Return Fire). In 2011, I will probably continue working toward this goal.

As far as collecting is concerned, I will continue to work on my ambitious collecting goals (complete set of NES carts, complete set of Master System games, etc.). I mostly purchase in games "in the wild" (i.e., flea markets, thrift stores, local CL postings); so, this goal should also keep me quite busy.

I'm really looking forward to acquiring the new CFFA for Apple II, if it gets released next year. That, and the upcoming JagCF cart.

For consoles, I've want to pick up some of the 2nd tier 2nd gen consoles. Odyssey II, Bally Astrocade, and Arcadia 2001. I might also succumb to my desire for an Amiga CD32 at some point in the year.

For retro computing, I'm probably going to work on finding a 386/486 PC pretty soon. I have a P200 for Win95 games, a Tandy 1000EX for 8-bit PC games. I need to fill in the gap with something to play protected mode DOS games.

For gaming, I'm looking to play through some of the classic Black Isle RPGs. Baldur's Gate, Fallout, Planescape Torment. I'm sure I'll find more to do, but those need to get played.

My primary goal is to organize my retro collection and systems in a neat and orderly fashion. Currently the game room is messy and disorganized.

For playing I want to finish several games that I have started before getting into new one. I have such a backlog that I want to get through.

My collecting goals are going to be focused on Sega Saturn and Neo Geo CD. I also want to work on Panzer Dragoon collection, getting all the games and perhaps some random merchandise. I am missing Zewi (US), and I also want to get the Japanese versions.

This. I've noticed that for all the games I buy, I don't actually play that many. In 2010, my goal was to streamline my collection, get it down to a smaller bunch of games and consoles that I'm actually interested in playing.

So for 2011, my mantra is that I'm a gamer, not a collector.
