This is like asking me which of my children I hate most.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

EA tried to give Sega a deal where they could publish their sports games on the Dreamcast so long as NO OTHER COMPANY would be allowed to publish sports titles on that system. Sega of America's president at the time (Stolar?) told them to go take a hike, and thus the 2k series was born. Just one example of EA's unrelenting greed (and attempts at a monolopy, no less).
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games

Came to say they both suck. The poll disappointed me, but the thread did not. I remember when both were the plucky underdogs championing creative developers in the 8 bit era. *sigh*

EA. They ain't no angels, for damn sure, but by and large I loved their series growing up - plus they've done a lot of growing up lately. Activision seems to be actively regressing into the school-yard bully.

EA gave me:
-Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Underground
-Rock Band
-General Chaos
-Future Cop LAPD
-Soviet Strike
-Freedom Force
-Def Jam: Fight For NY
-Brutal Legend
-Burnout Series
-Command & Conquer Series
-Mutant League Series
-SimCity Series
-Theme Park

Activision gave me:
-PitFall!
-Quake III Arena
-Tenchu Series
-Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2

So, yeah - I'll go with EA.

EA for me, sure they are the root of all evil, but at least they publish good games. The only thing I am not very fond of is there product placements in games, Activision is guilty of that too.

I'll go with EA too for these reasons:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer(Xbox)
Brutal Legend
American McGee's Alice
Dragon Age: Origins
Dead Space
Freedom Fighters
The Lord of the Rings:The Two Towers
The Lord of the Rings:Return of the King
Mass Effect
Mass Effect 2
Medal of Honor:Underground(the only MOH game I ever played)
Mirror's Edge
Mercenaries
The Orange Box(for Portal)
SSX Tricky

Activision gave me:
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Spider-Man
Tenchu Stealth Assassins
Tenchu 2
Tenchu Wrath of Heaven
X-Men Legends
X-Men Legends II
X-Men Origins:Wolverine

Good things can come from the most evil sources. Hitler gave us the "people's car"

EA has atoned for some of their past sins.

Activision is becoming the monster that EA was.

They both deserve our scorn, though EA deserves less of it due to their slight change of heart.

I've enjoyed games from both companies, and have had frustrating experience from both sides as well. So on that part, it's split down the middle.

On the other hand, I would prefer Activision over EA due to the EA Spouse debacle.
