I just got a hold of a copy of Monster Hunter Tri and Madworld, the other day
I'm starting to realize that the Wii has more than just the usual lineup
and to be able of playing Monster Hunter Tri on-line without any charges... lovely
it seems as if this machine has more to offer than I originally thought
thanks for the tips of games; it seems as if though there's plenty of great ones out there
and considering the coming year has Skyward Sword/Kirby - Epic Yarn/Donkey Kong Country Returns, etc.
feels as if though I'm getting a strong lineup for the future as well
I'm still getting used to the notion of motion controls, but it's an interesting concept
as soon as I can afford it, I'll be buying the Motion Control+ as well, to check out the games using that as well
it seems to me, thus far that none of the games are really trying to push the console to it's limits, which is a good thing
Fable II, GTAIV, Risen, etc. all have a ridiculous draw-distance, due to excessive graphics on the 360, whilst the Wii doesn't try to push it's games to the same limits
I may be completely wrong here, though, since I've not tried that many games yet
also I am noticing that more games have... cute graphics and seem to focus on being more of a game, rather than depicting reality
I like my games, looking like games, which is the main reason I prefer sprites
the Wii, feels right up my alley with it's cutesy games; and I'm looking to get a hold of "a boy and his blob", as soon as economy allows it
I've yet to touch the Virtual Console, but I'm thinking that there'll be a couple of games there that will catch my interest as well (Excite Bike, I'm looking at you)
perhaps the next generation of 360's will be more capable of playing the games meant for them, but it feels as if though Nintendo is a solid card to play, at almost all times
mind you that during the 16-bit wars, I was in the SEGA camp, but now that SEGA produces plenty of games for all consoles, it seems as if though the Wii is getting it's fair share =)
also, although my friends may not like the console, at least my X does it; and since we're living together, it feels nice to have games which we can play together and she's enjoying Animal Crossing, even moreso than me =)
I'd like some more customization for the Mii's, but I'm thinking that's the least of my issues with this console, thus far
I might not have Gears of War/Army of Two kinds of games, but I'm hoping/thinking that New Super Mario Bros. will be as much Co-Op as I need on that area (that and Monster Hunter Tri)
it's nice to have at least one of the current-gen consoles and the Playstation series, never really appealed to me (I've me PSX and PS2 in a closet, gathering dust atm), so this feels like a natural choice to me
and I always try to think ahead, even-though it may seem stupid, but someday I'll have kids of my own, or my sisters and brothers kids visiting, then I'd like to have a Nintendo branch of consoles prepared, since they're the most family-friendly
even-though Kinetix (or whatever it was called) may appeal to a large group of people, I never felt as if though it appealed to me
Nintendo has always tried to focus on remaining some sort of quality and has always been innovative
now all I need is to learn to handle the motion-controls properly, so I don't get my ass handed to me in Madworld =)

Re: 360 for a Wii
Not true at all.. During the 32bit/64bit era the playstation had the best third party support.. Sorry but this is true..Flake wrote:.
Choosing the Wii for Nintendo's first party stuff is great but the Wii has the strongest third party line up since the SNES days as well.
