I looked at this thread and the first thing I thought of was PIT FROM KID ICARUS!

Yay!

That'll do for now. These guys had great series and have just been left in the dust of endless sonic sequels. To be fair, Shinobi had a few (decent?) PS2 games and an atrocious GBA game recentish and Opa Opa and the fantasy zone series in general recieved a few nods in sega tennis and sega racing. Wonder Boy is criminally forgotten though, it was an amazing and high quality series that stands up brilliantly even now.
I wouldn't say that SOR, and Shinobi are forgotten.

And Battletoads isn't forgotten.

BUT KID DRACULA HAS BEEN FORGOTTEN. DAMN YOU, KONAMI, DAMN YOU!

Not anymore, and you can't possibly tell me you haven't heard why.

Also, Opa-Opa appeared as an unlockable character in Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, so he's not all forgotten.

Hence they "yay!". I was getting at how I saw this and I would normally just jump straight to Pit, but now, I can't!

James Pond 2: Codename: RoboCod was remade for the PS2 and DS so that hasn't been forgotten.

The last Aero the Acro-bat was a staright port to the GBA in 2002. Not sure if I care for another.

Battletoads may not have been forgotten by retro gamers, but everyone else has. The last console game was 1993. They haven't even been released on VC.

Wonderboy needs a return. The last game was a compilation SEGA AGES 2500 Vol.29: Monster World Complete Collection. Could see a download only remake like Adventure Island did.

Alex Kidd even though he had cameos has been absent for far too long. Maybe sega needs a New, Old Mascot, to replace the replacement.

I am one of the few that likes Bubsy but he is better being retired.

But think of all the forgotten charecters that have or will be brought back, theres been quite a few in the last couple of years.

Here's some stars I would like to see:
Gex
Jazz Jackrabbit
Zonk
Bug
Spot (when 7up was cool)
Zool
Karnov
Sketch Turner
Red and Blue
Turrican
Milon
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.
