What annoys me is the constant piling on of COD4/other recent popular games that often happens on retro-forums. COD4 is at least as significant a game this generation as Contra or Sonic or Mario (or name your favorite classic) was in its time. It deserves its praise in part because of graphics (which was also true for the praise given to those classics once upon a time) but also because of its gameplay, innovation, care in design/programming, and just plain fun level.ReddMcKnight wrote: I never said there was anything wrong with liking both. It's just that when people think Call of Duty 4 is a god-send or something, it annoys me.
Here we get to the root of the problem. I thought your post was inviting open discussion/debate. I guess it was just a chance to spout off fanboy-whining. If you think everything Sega shits is gold, we can't have a conversation. You will not change my opinion of it or anything Sega related. Ever.
