Bunnyhoping and other "good" glitches. What do you think?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I like bunnyhopping in Halo 2. It pisses people off because you might jump behind them and strike them with an energy sword.

EDIT: Okay, Wave Dashing was not a glitch. I'm not expert on SSBM.
Common mistake, and it does look like a glitch. But really, its L cancelling (also not a glitch like Overload pointed out) that speeds up the game, at least more so then wavedashing.

Skimap in Tribes:

Skiing was pretty much jumping continuously and the engine could not handle it so you ended up going really fast. They added it in officially in Vengence.

Wavedashing:

Well the video is a guide, but it allows a character to move really fast across a stage.

L-Cancel:

Ill be honest, I am not sure I know what it is, even with watching the video.

The second video seems to explain it better.

Bunnyhopping:

Gltiching out the physics engine so you were pretty much strafe jumping in a mostly straight line - it allowed you to obtain speeds many times faster than standard running.

TFC:

Last Dinosaur 2 - some of the best TFC action ever. Granted everything in this was legit per TFC tournament rules - all was considered part of the game and this is mostly tournament footage. And yes it has little to do with the topic

Anyone remember Snaking in Super Mario Kart? That was bullshit.

I already mentioned this in another thread, but there's a glitch with the trader in Killing Floor. On the London Map you can lean on the metal door and press E to access the trader even if she isn't there.

Sometimes I get to urge toplay something with insane bunnyhoping going on, the increased speed of the gameplay attracts me quite a lot. To bad there are not too many polished games with this. Also some of the communities are not exactly likeable. Too bad, I guess.

I wouldnt really describe this as a glitch, and personally i liked it, if only because it gave me something to do on long boring straights besides hold Go

Also, L cancelling removes some of the frames of animation caused when landing in smash bros, thus allowing you to attack again faster. SHFFLing is popularly used for quick aerial attacks, which are better with some characters than their ground attacks. SHFFL stands for Short hop (press quicky for a half height jump), Fast fall (tap down at the peak of a jump to fall faster), L cancel. Doing all of this made for very quick ground level aerial moves.

I loved snaking! Of course, I could snake really, really well, so I would like it. Mario in the Standard Yoshi FTW!

bunny bullshit more like it. Being a FPS computer fan from WAY back in the day, I hated it. Like someone else said...before spawn points were random like now, they were all asigned points...it was just a matter of what point you got, most people knew them ALL by heart...so you would have that ONE douche bag that would jump ALL around the map and spawn kill. pos.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.
