Re: Your opinion on computer games?
I like PC gaming but definitely prefer console gaming for the simplictiy and not worry about upgrading my gaming rig more often that I would like. I do however enjoy services like Steam!!

Steam = No DRM.
I LOVE STEAM. You never have to worry about how many more times you get to install it. You can install it as many times as ou would like and it will always be tied to your account. Plus games go on sale there quite a bit.
I bought KOTOR on there the other week for $2.49!!!!!!!!!!

Steam in itself is DRM...Frag Mortuus wrote:Steam = No DRM.

Re: Your opinion on computer games?
I have a few great PC games in my library, but generally speaking I don't have much interest in PC gaming and many of the reasons why have already been mentioned. However, I'll add one more thing. Consoles are gaming machines. It's what they are built for. Sure, today they have extra features like DVD and music playback, but you buy a console to play games. For that reason, I will always enjoy games much more on a console than a PC. That may sound strange, but a PC is just a thing that does all kinds of things. It's not really a gaming machine and that makes me like consoles more, for gaming that is

Exactly.
However I have bought games from GOG.

Modding single player games change the type of experience developers wanted you to have when playing the game. Some might not care so much about it and enjoy altering it but it wont feel like if you were just playing it on a console.
If all you have available is a computer than there is plenty of games old and new that are better on it. I would personally prefer to just have a ps2 or something lying around though.

I really break it down by control scheme. Some games simply play better with a mouse and keyboard, while others play better with a controller. I want to play the game with the best controls I can get. So FPS's and RTS's get played on the PC, while platformers and JRPGs are on the console.
