Again the 50/60HZ mod will only give you the option of swapping between 50/60HZ.So a 50/60hz switch will solve my region lockout problem at the same time as giving me fullspeed?
50Hz = Slower / Boarders
60Hz = Faster / No Boarders (You can play most PAL games @ 60Hz)
The region mod (Which puts a on/off switch on the Lockout Chip) enables you to play the imports.
On mmmonkeys site they are both in the same guide, but they are actually two separate mods. Just wanted to clear that up.
There is space on the side of the dust guard once you file away at the cart slow (IE there is like a few CM of the cart slot that the rounded dust tray doesn't cover once you have squared up the cart slow. It looks really ugly in my view.Also, why do you recommend taking out the dust guard? Does the top look odd once you've filed the slot?
As for Mario RPG, it is the hardest game to play on PAL hardware. In some cases you can get the game and it will run with the above methods. Other cases you need to mod the cart as well as doing the above. Depends on the revision of the game, and there is no way to tell unless you test it.
