Dated how?

If you mean graphically then that I don't mind, it's the gameplay I'm worried about.

The gameplay is fine. It even outdoes the Saturn version in some respects, I believe. The dated aspect comes from the graphics and the music. The 32X version just doesn't have the detail and CD quality music the Saturn has.

Sega-16 has a good comparison of the two: http://sega-16.com/feature_page.php?id= ... .%2032X%29

The VF remix on Saturn is superior, however the original version of the game is a toss up, both the 32x and Saturn versions have issues. Pretty much which bad version is better. Star Wars Arcade is the 32x game I have that I play most, the MKII port is the version of the game I play most (including playing it over the PSN version I have.) The Doom port is playable, but not the best version out there. Virtua Racing deluxe is ok, prob the best version of that game, but it doesnt really hold up well today. The only other 32x games I have are Cosmic Carnage which is awful, and Night Trap, which visually blows away the SCD version. The only game I dont have that I want is Knuckles Chaotix. The addon really has slim pickings, but it sure does look damn good sitting on top of a Genesis.

Yeah I've got VF Remix and enjoy it, but I've never actually owned any version of the original so I think I'll go with the 32X version.

It is def more playable than the Saturn one.. at least for me. Still feels a bit off. VF2 on Saturn is where its at
