You should be able to tell if the cord has a fuse in it. Well you can on the UK plugs anyway. If it's got a fuse you should be fine. Just don't leave it on and leave the house ;)

Ok. so I've got two power chords and they're some kinda different.
The one has very thick metal connectors inside the two "holes". The other chord doesn't.
So which should I use?

I suggest contacting Microsoft and see if you can get a new cord. Just don't leave it on unattended for a long period of time.

Think you can use a ps2 cord on the xbox, someone confirm. There should be a console universal cord.

They also look different in the inside. The one has visible metal contacts.

The fuse is in the plug.
