Try using the A+B method.

btw my saturn still wont play burnt games :(.
if you can't run a burnt game, you either don't have a properly burned game OR you didn't install the mod chip correctly.
Im a 100% sure i burn the game properly as it works with an emulator if you can see what i got wrong please help.

Those damn Sanyon boards. Everyone seems to have problems with them. You may have checked these, but just to make sure lets list them all off.

Make sure the solder between A+B is nice and clean with a single beed across the two, not the blue strung over.
Make sure all cables are snug in their spots and not slid a teeny bit left or right causing cross talk (those slots don't fit the cables perfectly).
Make sure the power is soldered tight.
And biggest thing, make sure nothing is touching the chip shorting it out (like any shielding plates) and make sure the chip is snug into the motherboard and again not slid side or side causing cross talk.

If all is right then 2 things are wrong. Bad chip, or the Saturn isn't compatable with the A+B method. I am ruling out bad backups due to your emulator statement. But just in case do a direct copy of a legite game.

I have some more news on this both good and bad.

Bad: After checking the above and confirming what i already knew (all fine) I did a copy of a legit game as suggested. I tested the copy with SSF emulator and it worked but as expected it did not work on my sayno.

Good: I took a risk on ebay and bought a random cheap saturn with grey buttons and it was a v2 :D . I unpluged the chip from my sayno, unsoldered the power and left the A-B alone. I put the chip in my v2 and soldered the power to the second pin down(5 pin total) and :D :D IT WORKED :D :D with the same disk i tried on the sayno.

so
SAY NO TO SANYO
see what i did there hahaha
