Have almost my whole collection packed up (almost... there's still a few dupes in the basement, plus the Neo CD, plus all my Neo MVS stuff) and in my dad's basement so as to get my house listed....

I have a lot of games. Holy crap. Like... it didn't seem like that much because it had spread out over 2 floors of my house. Seeing it all in one massive, massive pile is just ridiculous.

I have less games than many of you (I stand at 1600 or so) but to see it in piles after I moved..... It just looked ridiculous, man.

You got me beat, I'm somewhere around the 1200 mark, though the fact that the arcade stuff takes up a ton of room doesn't help.

I am down to about 1000 physical games. I've purged a lot of my lower value bulk commons, mostly NES.

Shoot, I only have about 500 physical games, but since I am in an apartment, it's already taking up a lot of space. This has driven me to stop a lot of my collecting.

I never got into the deep collecting stuff, like "I want all the fighting games on the SNES". Every game I own is something that I want to play and beat at some point. I think I've got ~600 physical games but then a ton of digital games thanks to Steam and GOG (especially GOG's bundles of old PC games).

Ha, the "all fighting games on the SNES" is what got me into hardcore collecting for the SNES...

There's also the "ever single version of Ys as well as games that might have been located on the shelf next to Ys" collection.

I actually only do the "buy what I want to play" type collecting myself.

Thing is, I'm really into the second gen. You know how quickly those Atari carts pile up?

And yes, I am also buried under some Falcom rubble right now.
