GW2 isn't an older style shmup, though.

It is a decentish bullet hell.

I kinda like the doom movie... didnt though it was awful when i saw it and the FPS part was cool... moving on.

I haven't run into any glitches yet, so it may be swaying my opinion, but Splatterhouse (the newest one, I'm not sure what year it was. 2006?) is awesome. Not the best 3D beat 'em up around, but still good. It has a nice feel to it, with both the looks and the gameplay. In a way it feels like something else I can't put my finger on. It has that comic influence, it has horrible things in contrast to disturbing humor, and has the whole nerd into evil stuff gets a chance to be a true badass despite not actually liking the real life versions of evil stuff thing.

The glitches kinda come in the later sections of the game, some outsinc audio in my play but nothing game breaking, but besides that this game is really cool. Is not devil may cry and it dosen't need to be, the combos are not as lenghty or complex like others in the genre but is fun to punch creatures in this game, they explode and leave trails of blood in their way and i really enjoy the converstions between Rick and the terror mask. Not the greatest game out there but definetly not awful piece of plastic like some people make it out to be.

Yeah, the way it was discussed I always figured it was swamped with constant glitches. I like it though, isn't particularly deep, but it's lots of fun. Just what I like about a game, easy pick up and play, and fun.

Plus, that soundtrack. And before the whole mask thing, your character is rocking the Mastadon shirt.
