It seems that NFL coaches are starting (or attempting) to enforce a zero tolerance policy on fighting.

Not sure how I feel about this.

You certainly don't want your qb's jaw to get shattered, but before you win games you need to win over your team. Sometimes "having a go" is a quick and effective way to say a few words with your fists, while also gaining the respect of your teammates.

This is a bit off topic, but fighting is also a way for teams to police the game without referees or umpires. You see this often in baseball and hockey because at a certain point the teams take matters into their own hands when the officials can't do much of anything. (and if you've never watched a reel of hockey fights, do. They are either cordial or brutal).

With that in mind, I've seen one good football fight, and that is it. Overpaid dudes wearing helmets fighting stinks.

So the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleader who was having sexy time with a fifteen year old boy...

She'll be spending every other weekend in jail for two years.

A forty-eight year old was having sex with a fifteen year old.

Double standards and such, as most guys would give the kid an "atta boy!". I think it's icky.

That's what I get for listening to ESPN...

According to NPR, the woman was a former cheerleader.

On ESPN the discussion is basically "wouldn't you like to f**k a cheerleader?".

I rarely use the term "I feel sorry for...", but I feel sorry for Redskins fans. The QB situation, Jay calling star players "bells and whistles", and general fudged-upness.

If you're reading this thread, you probably know RG3 said he was the best qb in the league, and how everyone jumped on it as a story, and then RG3 decided to put his foot further in his mouth by claiming to be a target and his words being taken out of context.

You probably also know that RG3 will not be the 'Skins starter.

Knowing this (hindsight), I don't think RG3 was being delusional, I think he was trying to keep his job. Could be wrong, but I think RG3 knew his head was on the chopping block and wanted to make a statement to his coaches that he was best suited for the team. The press conference became an exit interview and he planned on saying whatever it took to save his position as starting qb.

On a side note, I listen to a lot of sports radio because it's good background noise and easy to ignore.

Listened to The Right Time with Bomani Jones, and I heard the mord "movie" so therefore I started to pay attention to what was being discussed. This is paraphrased, but Bomani went on to say "I don't do the movie thing. But Sony is producing a movie about concussions being linked to suicides in the NFL. Some of the hacked emails show that Sony executives said that no matter what, they could not offend the NFL".

-here comes the good part-

"I'll see this movie. It's directed by Ridley Scott, and I know her name, but not her movies, but I'm pretty sure she's made a lot of movies".

That is like a movie critic stating "THUNDERSTRUCK stars Kevin Durant as himself. I don't do sports. but I know his name, and I'm pretty sure he sometimes puts a ball through some type of hoop thing".

"Hey NFL league office, this whole thing is stupid and your suspension is stupid." I love it.

Somebody want to give me the whats what on hockey this year? I've been out of the loop for a while. I did just get NHL'16 though which is helping me get up to speed a bit on the new rules.
