First part of the DLC expansion for Pillars is out today! Turns out I got it for free as part of my pledge, which was nice. I think I'm going to hold off on playing it until I finish Septerra Core and see if people think it's worth playing on its own, before Part 2 comes out.

oh wow, I thought it was next week. I've been playing Pillars again this week actually. Still in Act III, just got my dudes up to level 8.

Anyway, this means that the patch is out for the revised combat behavior stuff, which I'm really interested in seeing how it works. I really liked having that option in Dragon Age Origins.

Hmm, as it happens my Steam key was the Kickstarter edition - I wonder if that means I get it free as well, or if it was just for a specific tier?

Check your Obsidian account. I purchased the expensive tier with the autographed box, so I'm not surprised they tossed in the expansion for free.

Just do it man!!!!

Also.... Septerra Core, Popo? Damn that game has some glacial pacing.

The animations in battle are too long. And the enemies are just slightly too fast. But I'm super early in the game.

I'm glad to see someone finally playing Septerra Core. I have always been curious about it but never gotten to talk about it with anyone.

Also, this reminds me that I need to play Anachronox...

I also need to play Anachronox, but that's in my "Haven't started" bucket. I'm trying to finish off all the games I've started before I dip into the unstarted games. My PC Backloggery is mostly unstarted games at this point.

Yeah, we'll see what I go to next once I finish with Risen. The Quake Together Retro got me to shift from my SNES to my PC again, and I've been focusing almost entirely on my GOG stuff, but my backlog there is so huge. Anachronox is one of the games I was considering playing once my Summer Challenge was beaten. Now that I'm through it...well, I've been hitting GOG pretty heavily lately. I may try for a few shorter games before my next RPG though. Got some point and clicks I need to beat.

Besides the fact that they are both "Western JRPGs" Anachronox and Septerra Core are very different, with Anachronox being way better in my opinion.

Best "Western JRPG" of all time is still Secret of Evermore of course. 8)
