Hi everyone, ACRetro here. Some people might have come accross my YouTube channel which features plenty of classic clips, particularly from the PSX era, focussing on Net Yaroze, Demo Disc interfaces and Music/Music 2000. I am, however, a keen follower of all things retro; right through from the Spectrum, Atari, Master System, Mega-Drive/Genesis and Dreamcast. On the modern front I'm a PS3 owner.
I don't like to give too much away, but I'm currently studying a HND in Computing, and will be going for a Bachelor's in the same subject this summer. I read Retro Gamer and Viz.

A pleasure to meet everyone. I am an old time gamer that is into everything gaming, old or new. A friend of mine frequents the board, so i thought I'd join in everyone once in awhile. Whats the point of just reading threads? I hope I can add to the conversations going on

Emerald is afraid he'll make enemies by admitting that he knows me, but I'm sure you'll all be nice. He is officially the first person to use this board that actually met me in real life. We worked together for a few months and then he goes and leaves me for Minnesota.Emerald wrote:A pleasure to meet everyone. I am an old time gamer that is into everything gaming, old or new. My apologies for desiring to acquire a degree in higher education! A Bachelor's degree in psychology doesn't go as far as it used too, I had to go for the Masters! :pMozgus wrote:Emerald is afraid he'll make enemies by admitting that he knows me, but I'm sure you'll all be nice. Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hmm. I guess I have to do this some time or the other...
Here goes:
Hi, Im, well... call me numbers or you could spurt out the not so random numbers I used for a user name. ^_^
I've mostly been a lurker here on Racketboy for quite some time now, and have just registered recently. I loved the topics found here, as they usually have more soul and freedom as opposed to other forums I've frequented (which is a meager 3~4? haha)
I also tried to start a site in which I got to review games I've played which were not always in the spotlight, but were very good nonetheless, like this site's hidden gems section, but I got pretty bored with it as I actually wanted to read others' work than making my own. The site has since then been closed, but I am still open to doing review when it would present itself... Well, I guess that's it for now.
Edit: It should also be noted the I'm an avid DS gamer, and I've noticed there might not be many in this site if the Nintendo boards indicate anything. So if somebody here's looking for obscure yet great games to play on the console or just games for kids (which are actually good) or even just edutainment, maybe I could help out. ^_^

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey I've been coming here for a little while to read the articles, but only just now registered. I grew up a console gamer and am mainly a pc gamer now. Recently I decided to start collecting retro games that I use to play as a kid.
