Well, fortunately my feels do not affect any of y'all's development as human beings. Good thing, too.

Why should The Poors be entitled to live somewhere? Just because they got there first? Money talks.

Anyone who acts surprised about what's happening in China's economy should never be given any attention the next time they talk about the world economy or seeing obvious shit.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'm not sure what you mean. If you are saying that this could have been easily predicted, I'm actually more wary of anyone claiming economical turns are obvious and can be easily predicted. This seems to happen after something happens (postdiction?), before there are roughly half saying things will improve and the other half saying things will turn to the worse.Flake wrote:Anyone who acts surprised about what's happening in China's economy should never be given any attention the next time they talk about the world economy or seeing obvious shit.

99% of the time, this is absolutely right. But China has had obvious and huge looming problems for years now. Nobody in their right mind though that China could continue to post double-digit grown rates forever. Combine that with a government that has opaque financial practices, refuses (until just recently) to let their currency float, and is known for systemic corruption and you have a neon sign in front of Bob's Neon Signs letting you know that neon signs are for sale.Ivo wrote: I'm not sure what you mean. Even if financial and governmental indicators aren't what you want to look at to make predictions about the future, the insane level of capital flight as Chinese oligarchs who have already got theirs off shore their money to the US, Canada, and UK should have been sign enough.

Oh, we've known for a while now that China has problems, some of which run deep, but at the same time, predicting the exact timing is still highly uncertain. Their market could stay fake-strong for a while before crashing or come down tomorrow. That sorta thing.
Re: So the whole world is kind of falling apart...
But but but... the whole global market is an imaginary entity! And governments are printing money that's not worth the ink it's printed with!
