Hey guys, Shadowrun: Hong Kong comes out tomorrow. Anybody plan to pick it up?
I own both Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun: Dragonfall on GOG but haven't given them a try yet. I was thinking about doing it soon though, since I got to play through the SNES game earlier this year.

Re: Shadowrun: Hong Kong
I backed this so I already have my Steam key entered; just waiting for it to unlock.
The Shadowrun games that Harebrained has been making uses a combat system akin to XCOM and then add in a bunch of RPG stuff outside of combat. They're pretty fun, though Dragonfall is definitely bertter than the original; it's clear that a lot of the time spent on Returns was in building the game foundation, whereas Dragonfall already had the solid foundation and could focus on adding more interesting RPG gameplay.

Do you recommend playing Shadowrun Returns then before moving to Dragonfall? Also, which do you feel is longer?
Re: Shadowrun: Hong Kong
I'd recommend doing Returns first so that you play Dragonfall and go "ooh, they made things better" vs. trying to go back to Returns from Dragonfall and notice all the things that are missing. I'd say Dragonfall is longer, but not by a huge amount.

Re: Shadowrun: Hong Kong
I saw the new Stark Trek over the weekend, and seeing the interiors of futuristic and clean space stations left me hankering to play some dirty cyberpunk. Since I've now beaten Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall, I was thinking I might move into Shadowrun: Hong Kong once I finish up DOOM and Soul Blazer. The only reason I hesitate is because once I get into it, that's it for the modern Shadowruns...which is a shame, because I've had a blast getting into these as well as the SNES one last year.
