Wow, when you can turn off a console snob with a simple no and get comment like that from a store like that, you know you're doing things right. The biggest threat to their existence are PC games and stuff like GoG and Steam because it cuts out Gamestop entirely with quality games, fair to grossly more than fair pricing in sales, and you don't have to deal with trolls like that.

I'd give Gamestop a lot more business if they'd carry physical copies of PC games. And then not still charge $60 for a new copy when the console version is selling for $15 used 10 feet away.

You could buy Steam cards and the like and support two stores at once. :D

The stores that do have PC games penny them out quite frequently. I got Dishonored, Borderlands 2, Warhammer Space Marine, and a bunch of other stuff for $0.99-$3 over the past few months. I'm sure there were more games with reduced prices but I don't think they swap the labels out to often.

That's probably very true. The PC stuff I've seen is usually like upwards of $30 or more(depending how new) when I've looked so I mostly ignore it. If the stuff actually was updated and really was like pennies to the dollar I'd be all over that.

You can use their site to browse for cheapy pc games and even put them on hold. Just make sure they put the discs in the case made that mistake a few times. Usually if they are newer people they don't know what drawer to look in.

http://www.gamestop.com/browse/pc?nav=1 ... 0,138c-17f

For instance these are available in my area right now for under $3.
Red Faction: Armageddon- $0.47
Operation Flashpoint: Red River- $0.97
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine- $0.97
X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition- $1.97
Spec Ops The Line- $2.97
Singularity- $2.97
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition- $2.97
Star Wars The Force Unleashed II- $2.97

See now that was a good idea, hadn't thought of that, kind of avoid their website other than to look up upcoming game release dates for years now.

I'd drop $3 on that Street Fighter IV game. I had the first one I got at a half price books, later to find out MS Windows Live was going to go down shortly rendering it useless.

edit - just looked, nothing in my area I'd buy or even maybe be interested in on there which is a shame. Quite a lot of good stuff under $10 there.
