So what are we saying here? That there is indeed a chance that receipt is reflective of a Jaguar console purchase as early as January of '93?

Very interesting!
Maybe it was a pre-order. If a console came out in June, it's not unreasonable to imagine that he may have pre-ordered months in advance.
That is way to simple to be the answer.
In that case, he was a time traveler who could only travel back in time six or seven months, but never a whole year. He tried to go back in time to prevent the launch of the Jaguar and Skynet. Unfortunately, his actions in the past made the future happen... or something. By the way, Are you Sarah Conner?

This is what I'm leaning towards as well.

Picked up this quite odd looking PS1/PS2 racing controller for $5.

Not too bad in terms of in-game handling, though.

Can't find a whole lot of online info on it.
I'm thinking I should probably hit up crux's old thread "My novelty controllers". Might find something on it there.

I stopped today at a Salvation Army store and found a red Rock Band 2 Fender wood replica controller. The guy at the register thought it was a toy so I picked it up for a whopping 49 cents.

Well it kinda is a toy to be honest even if it is a controller...

I know that, lol. But had they known that it was a game controller (even though I explained that...) and not one of those cheap children's toy guitars, they would have charged at least ten times that much for it.

I think you grossly over-estimate the current market value of Rock Band / Guitar Hero controllers.
