What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

I have a small 6x6 galvanized steel plate on the way should be here next week(seller took forever shipping it out :P). Already picked up some JB weld to attach it to the hard top once it comes in.

Hope it did not cost much. Home Depot has a huge Simpson Galvanized Steel Bracket aisle you could have gotten locally on the cheap. If your plastic roof has no headliner, maybe use stainless steel thru bolts for a more solid anchor?

It was only $5 or so shipped. Figured it would save me a trip to Lowes which would run me about that much in gas.

 Just annoyed in general lately. This year hasn't been a very good one, and I try to stay positive and look at the bright side of things but it can be trying sometimes, you know?

Mildly annoyed: Nebraska to Iowa to North Carolina to SOUTH DAKOTA is a perfectly reasonable way to send something to New York, right? Siiiiiiiiigh. At least they've updated now (Friday) to officially say that the package (which was due this past Monday) is delayed. Like, thanks I could have figured that out myself.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

I've had the awesome misfortunes of a GBA I ordered make a few cross country trips from California to Florida, as well as a game from Kentucky make a detour to sunny Puerto Rico before arriving here

:prouddad: My daughter won Grand Prize for "Clothing and Textiles" at the county fair. We will be going to state in 2 weeks.

 101 degrees today. We don't do 101 here. I don't know how many folks have AC, but i'd reckon it's under 10% in my region. I don't mind it too much, but it sure makes some folks testy.

I've said it before, and I stick by it. If air conditioners didn't exist, I wouldn't be able to live on Long Island.

Two of my favorites for times like these:

Tomorrow

That's Life

Some people get pumped by heavy metal, I get pumped by vaudeville tunes and Sinatra.

Smile: Going to Goose Creek State Park today. Going hiking, renting a couple kayaks, having a picnic, a little swimming, and to please Mike my wife and I might have some sexy time in a tent.

Smiles: My Grandfather-in-law (is that a term?) turned 95 yesterday, and his birthday party was nothing short of fabulous. Hundreds of Chik-Fil-A nuggets and tenders was a nice touch. But the best part of the party was when we all played "How old are you, and how old do you wish we could be?".

Almost all the women said they wish they could be 25. Except for my wife who made a joke of being seven years younger so she could dodge the bullet that was getting married to me.

There was a ten year old kid who said he'd like to be seven because "I always got what I wanted if I cried when I was seven".

Most of the men said they would like to be 21 again.

So Grandpa steps to the plate, thinks for a few seconds and says "Well... I reckon I would like to be ninety-six". Being the only person who wished to be older he was quickly asked, "You wouldn't want to be younger?". His response was "No ma'am. Because if I'm ninety-six that means I've gotten to spend another year with you goofballs".

:( : Started school back up again. Turns out one of my classes has 8 group assignments and a monster 70-page word doc specifying what the teacher expects out of each assignment. And she's specified that she's another one of those "a C is for work that meets the requirements, an A is for blowing me away" graders. Ugh.

Only 8 more months of this...
