Has anyone see how Conkers BFD is running, and are all games on disc?

Conker runs fabulously and looks great. It's the raunchier N64 version, too which is a good bonus... and I'm not really sure if the games that were on XBLA for 360 are actually downloads or not.

They are not DLC codes though. Once you pop the disc in and it downloads the update you have all the 360 games waiting to be installed... which is all the Banjos, Perfect Darks, Viva Pinatas, Kameo, and Jetpac Refuelled I believe. I haven't tested it yet, but I think you need the Rare Replay disc in the drive (or the digital rights purchased) to actually play these installed games.

It's kinda like they're showing off their backwards compatibility or something. It logs me into my 360 profile and starts popping achievements in the 360 versions.

Everything else that was basically on the oXbox (Ghoulies), the N64 stuff that wasn't on XBLA, and everything else that's older are on the disc and ready to go once you get the initial game loaded.

It's an excellent value and I've poured a bunch of hours into it already. There's tons of achievements and options for cheats and a "rewind" button on some games. It makes stuff like Battletoads a heck of a lot more accessible.

Um they do? You just have to buy a play n charge kit. I agree it should come with one, but at least the battery is easily replaceable unlike the PS4 controllers.
In terms of longevity it is nice, but it still kind of surprised me to see they were still pushing AAs out of the gate like they did with the 360. I will give them this though I really like their thumb sticks and I'm really glad they didn't try any touch sensitive shit like the PS4 controllers :P.
It really isn't a big deal, especially when the battery life is 25-30 hours vs 3-4 on the PS4 controller. You can get a rechargeable battery pretty easily for less than $10. Given the choice between the two, I prefer the route they took.

I really want to love my Xbox One but.... I don't play it much.

Basically, I only play it a couple of hours per week. I play Neverwinter with my uncle on Tuesday nights. Otherwise, my wife uses it as a Netflix/Hulu/HBO machine.

I have the Master Chief collection, Dragon Age Inquisition, and the Gears remake but just don't find myself inspired to play them much.

What games should I be looking at? What are the best ones?
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Want: Games!!!

Have you tried Sunset Overdrive? Fun 3rd-person action game. I quite enjoyed Ryse, which I get isn't for everyone.

Then of course I'm really looking forward to Rise of the Tomb Raider and Halo 5 this fall.

Besides those literally the only other games that interest me are Rare Replay, State of Decay, Project Spark and Dead Rising 3. Now if you don't have a PS4 already then there are many more sort of.

In addition to the games mentioned above, I'd add Ori and the Blind Forest, Killer Instinct, and Castle Crashers Remastered. That is assuming we are talking about exclusives and semi-exclusives.

I am looking forward to Cuphead and ReCore as far a future games go.

I recently gave Halo:MCC another try after being so disappointed with how broken the multiplayer was at launch. After some tweaks made to my router this time around, the game is running awesome and I am enjoying the crap out of playing the game. Playing these old multiplayer maps competitively online again is a blast!

Here is what I've acquired so far.

Exclusives(One/PC):
Ryse(Great)- This is probably my favorite exclusive so far on the system. Really was expecting it to have been ruined by Kinect, but it plays surprisingly well with a controller. Story and graphics are great and gameplay is pretty solid although it gets repetitive at times.

Titanfall(Great MP/No SP)- Great MP if you are just looking for quick fast paced matches and the mechs can be really fun. No SP which kind of sucks, but it does have a campaign which sadly is online only so you can't just start on the first mission and work forward and instead get tossed in a server which loops every few hours.

Retro Replay(Great)- This is probably your best bang for your buck. All of the ports are really well done and it's easy to sink a ton of hours into it. They also implemented some cool features like a rewind function for some of the older games like Battle Toads which saves them from being to frustrating if you just want to casually go through them.

Halo MCC(Great SP/so-so MP)- Great for single player shit for multiplayer. Basically if you want a refresher of the core Halo games before 5 comes out or just like to occasionally play through the Halo campaigns then this is an awesome value. I sat down and played through all 4 about a month ago and had a great time. Everything looks nice and Halo/2 have the option to play with original or upgraded graphics which is a neat touch since you can swap back and forth at any time by hitting select. Sadly while the SP is great MP is god awful with a piss poor match making system which is slow and boots you to the root menu after each map. Plus thanks to the fact that when playing public games the map you play is based on voting you will end up playing the same 2-5 maps 90% of the time on the same game mode even though there are literally hundreds of maps to choose from :P. If they had a system where you could continue playing with the same lobby after each match it would be much better, but as it is I feel like they really gimped it so that people would move onto 5.

Sunset Overdrive(Good SP & MP)- It's really nice and polished and feels a hell of a lot like infamous to me. If you don't mind a little absurdity it is well worth checking out especially at sub $20. The only thing I didn't like about it was the story while overall it wasn't to bad there were a few characters and sections which I really didn't care for and it felt like it got dragged out at times. Luckily even after you beat the game there is plenty to do and the multiplayer while chaotic is pretty fun and is mostly PvE so it isn't frustrating.

Dead Rising 3(Good)- It's not bad, but I think I liked Dead Rising 2 better losing the mall setting was kind of disappointing. Although I do like the game play balance this time around I found things to be challenging, but not unfair. I remember the first one being hard as hell till you gained more experience over the first few attempts.

Multiplat:
Dying Light(Great)- This game is great if you like open world first person zombie games this is probably the best one out there right now. It's basically like a super polished dead island with some what basic, but very fluid parkour. Story was decent to and I found myself really liking the main character by the end. Sadly the MP zombie mode is pretty dead, but I could see Co-op being quite enjoyable if you can find some friends who have it.

Murdered Soul Suspect(Bland)- The game play fits the definition of bland and the story wasn't super hot. Just really didn't feel like a ton of effort was put into this game. Even at bargain bin prices I would say pass this up.

The Evil Within(Not my cup of Tea)- I really didn't care for this game at all stupid shit just broke immersion to much and the story was pretty much nonsensical at 3 hours in so I stopped and never went back.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag(I've Heard Mostly Good Things)- Still haven't gotten around to playing this, but I've heard good things and it's dirt cheap. Need to just speed run 3(Played it half way through but never completed it)and get it over with so I can start this one up without feeling I'm missing something.

Yeah this does bother me too. I get annoyed when almost every game gets voted for the BR option instead of the more unique or even standard game types once in a while. I'm not a BR expert so it gets annoying having to play that game type 7 out of 10 times. Rumble Pit, Snipers, and Big Team do a good job mixing it up for me tho.
