Nah, if it was Luke the girls would be honking at him, or after he honked they'd be jumping in the car to be with him after he honked at them. But even though they were all drop dead gorgeous he would have to decline as he and his wife already had sexy time twice that day, and he is tapped out.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Here's something that bums me out on a regular basis.
I work in a small law firm (I'm a small town lawyer). My boss honestly believes that everything is an emergency... you know, in a profession where cases last for years, you can't get a court date for months, and even standard court filing take days and days to write? Yeah, everything is a goddamned emergency for this guy.
In a career that is already EXTREMELY stressful (we generally are near the top of the list for alcoholism, depression, and suicide rates by profession), this is not a helpful attitude to have.
It's really annoying and kind of soul-crushing (it's kind of a horrible profession anyway).

I used the right socket size since I ensured I had the most snug fitting one out of the 30 or so in the kit. However I figure these are cheapy lugs seeing as they were $1 a piece with installation includedZiggy587 wrote: If you stripped one... something is wrong. You weren't using the right socket size to remove it. If you're only using the tire iron that came with your car, and you replaced the lug nuts, that might be why. Your new lug nuts might be the correct thread size, but now requires a different socket size.

Lug size in inches or metric? Couldve used a metric or english unit wrench on the other. A common issue. In that case there are some similar size but no 'snug' fit.

This should really be a thing. Everyone write posts as Luke for a day. I think mj has been stalking Luke. That's way too close to actual.

I think this was mentioned before, but anyways my fixes again. First off, as mentioned some tire shops overtighten with the impact gun, the torque wrench afterwards is pointless if they do that. A very good idea checking ALL lug nuts whenever you get a tire change versus finding out when stuck with a flat.Fragems wrote:I used the right socket size since I ensured I had the most snug fitting one out of the 30 or so in the kit. However I figure these are cheapy lugs seeing as they were $1 a piece with installation included. The others 19 held up fine though so it could have just been a bad one in the set since the others held up okay. At least being the back left it is the least likely tire for me to get a flat on. Will still be going back to pick up another when I go out next week though.
1. Toss out the stamped steel dealer supplied wrench, get a solid four way Tire Iron" wrench or your mentioned breaker bar and socket.
2. A 5 point impact socket is the best, the 4 way tire wrench already has the five point on its ends. Spray paint the correct side with bright paint for a quick identify.
3. Grease all lug threads to prevent a stuck nut or stripped threads. Hand turn ALL nuts before tightening any. I take the lubrication as far as a very thin layer of grease between the steel hub and aluminum wheel to prevent the Cathode to Anode corrosion melt together. Again just "wet" the metal as to not ooze out onto the brake disc when tightened up.
Grease on the studs really help to prevent the rust up from road spash. The lubricated nuts will not loosen if you tighten them in the correct "star pattern" sequence and proper torque.
What did you come up with for the Strobe Light mentioned in the other Thread?
