There was another Brain game for the DS called Big Brain Academy. Its a first party game and, if I remeber correctly, it was geared towards a younger crowd.

There was also a Face Training game where you had to pull expressions. Did that come out in the US? it looked weirdcasterofdreams wrote:There was another Brain game for the DS called Big Brain Academy. Its a first party game and, if I remeber correctly, it was geared towards a younger crowd.

I don't know but, compared to the Brain games, I don't see much value in it. Maybe teach you smiling etiquette? Who knows.alienjesus wrote:There was also a Face Training game where you had to pull expressions. Just picked up an Air Action Replay Max Duo at the fleas today for $5. This thing is pretty neat it connects to a GBA slot and has external slots for GBA(GB/GBC games fit as well, but I don't know if they are supported), and a DS slot. Seems like the pins need a good cleaning but it did register using on my PC using the micro USB port so it's still alive. On top of the regular cheat function it also lets you back up saves to your PC so it's pretty interesting curious to see how it works on the DS as well.

Japan/Europe only. In Japan it came with a special camera that plugged into the GBA slot. In Europe it was required to have a DSi due to the camera being necessary to play.alienjesus wrote:There was also a Face Training game where you had to pull expressions. Heck, if there's a "game" that has 100 public domain books, it can be done on the DS.
I'm liking the Baseball training on Flash Focus. You get a pitch and have to touch at the right moment the ball is in the orange box. The more accurate you are, the better type of hit it is (home run, triple, etc.). Curveballs are screwing me up though.

I just discovered there's a transformers game for the GBC we never got that stayed in Japan. It's based off the beast wars continuity and it seems fairly solid. There's 10 fighters, and each have two move sets. A button press go between robot and animal so you really can mix it up. Seems a quick glance on google shows it has a friendly following of people who say it plays nice.

The envious hatred I have for you is so strong!!! (joking btw)Fragems wrote:Just picked up an Air Action Replay Max Duo at the fleas today for $5. Anyway, that USB cable came in. For $4 shipped it isn't bad. 3 feet long but the cable connector is a little tight. I have to push it in to charge. The brick I used is a 5V=1.8A output which I think should be fine.
Edit - I picked up the second Golden Sun. I got the first a few months ago and I now can call the GBA series complete.

Got around to Feel The Magic (DS). I prefer the European title Project Rub (haha yeah) because you're gonna do a lot of screen rubbing. It's basically a bunch of minigames (think Warioware but not 5 seconds or less), but in the first few stages I was regurgitating fish from a man's stomach, entering calculator like number sequences to open parachutes, blowing on the microphone to put out candles (WUT?), stopping charging bulls, and finally rubbing dirt off the character's female love interest (?)
Developed by Sonic Team of all people with a little assistance from ex-members of United Game Artists. Good enough to get a prequel called Rub Rabbits. You want weird, get it here!

While I haven't played the prequel, I love its Japanese name: "Where do Babies Come From?"ExedExes wrote:Good enough to get a prequel called Rub Rabbits.

You're not kidding! From Project Rub to this. Sega sure got weird with these games.Nemoide wrote:While I haven't played the prequel, I love its Japanese name: "Where do Babies Come From?"ExedExes wrote:Good enough to get a prequel called Rub Rabbits.
