I can't imagine this could be any worse than the original game.

It could because Resident Evil 2 is amazing, you just have poor judgement on anything released after 1995.

not sure why the gloom and doom. The remake of RE1 from earlier this year was both reviewed well, and sold well. I'm all for it.

2 is pretty good, although I'd say Code Veronica is my favorite of the pre-RE4 era.

Code Veronica is awesome. I have to admit something though... I never played 2 or 3. My RE experience has been a mish-mash over the years. But I've played 1 (and REmake), 4, 5, Code Veronica, Gaiden, Zero and Umbrella Chronicles. That might be all. Hmm. I need to catch up on RE games I'm thinking.

EDIT: Yeah, y'know what? I might pick up Revelations 2 actually.

RGT #2: Has anyone started on Tales From The Borderlands yet? I'm trying to figure out how I'm gonna play it when I get around to it. I've got some Google Play Store credit, but curious how it plays on a tablet?

The ISS Hyperion made a small trip last night to investigate some ruins in Veloxi space. They had been tipped off by the Mechans that the ruins were there but were also informed that the planet was guarded by an automated drone. The drone asked a very cryptic question about a number (I think it was simply 10?) and the crew apparently answered wrong. Fortunately, the ISS Hyperion's mighty shields and armor were more than a match for the weaponry on the drone and it was soon scrap.

On the planet itself the crew discovered the ruins of an Old Earth Empire base. There was a reference to the site of the military HQ (which didn't include coordinates) as well as a Black Egg, which turns out to be a bomb of some kind.

Afterwards the crew encountered some Veloxi ships in hyperspace and were able to gain some important clues as to what's going on in the galaxy. There's some kind of killing wave that's slowly making stars go nova, but the Veloxi think they have a device that will protect them from it. They also gave the location of what they believe to be the origin of that wave, as well as the location of the device. The crew's next mission is going to be to borrow that device before heading to the location of the source of the wave the Veloxi gave; a notice in the starport mentioned a ship had already been lost there, so there's no telling what they might find.

feeling like playing something really diff than what I've been playing lately. I'm thinking either Resident Evil Revelations 2 or D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die. What y'all think?

This is not the same capcom anymore, the REmake was done by Mikami in 2002 and he has left the company long ago. I have trust on the guys that made revelations but i want a remake the same way 1 was remade, fixed camera angles, tank controls (they could add the "normal" controls by popular demand), and having a limited supply of ink.

I don't know about how it plays on the tablet, but I've played episodes 1 - 3 and it is now my favorite TT game and one of the funniest games I've played. Truly excellent.
