Cities Skylines - the thread of the game
Re: Cities Skylines - the thread of the game
Up to 27k just went on a pretty good roller coaster ride with my finances though
.
Had a wave of mysterious deaths hit that was killing 200-300 people a week
. It caused all hell to break loose as there were hundred of dead bodies all over the city sitting and rotting. Of course with the workforce disappearing the industries went to crap only thing that saved me was a bailout and the 200k loan. Which I then used to purchase a crematory for every block. I then hiked the taxes to keep the city afloat since we lost a good chunk of our tax payers. After things normalized and people started flowing in I brought taxes down, but it was a bit to late for our industries who started closing their doors in mass
.
Somehow I managed to cling on though and after demolishing probably 200-300 structures the city came back to life like a phoenix rising from the ashes
.
Now I'm expanding into the two other parcels of land I purchased. Thanks to all the land the plague opened up there isn't really much of a demand for anything in particular so we are proceeding at a much steadier pace. Now I just have to deal with the traffic nightmare which has occurred in a few areas.

Awesome job, man. Exciting. Looks like things really took off for you toward the end. We are still middling around - but should bust it open pretty soon.
