What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Unfortunately trying to purchase this over the website was giving me a credit card error, despite this never being an issue before and the card not being expired. Thinking a way around this was to purchase a $20 PSN card from Best Buy and apply it to my account was met with failure as well. Knowing I was coming up on what I assumed was the deadline of 9pm PST, I tried to redeem the card from my phone, as I was on my way home from work. This didn't work, but I thought I was in the clear as I got home before 9pm PST. I redeemed the PSN card before 9pm, but every time I tried to pre-order the game, it gave me an error code. The screen finally cleared around 10pm PST and showed full price for the game. Needless to say, that was a very frustrating experience.
That sucks. Did you get it, though? I plan to mainline it all night as Ilove(d) Dear Esther immensely. It was the game I've been most excited about for the PS4.

I will because I also really liked Dear Esther. I felt there were some issues with it though and I'm excited to see them take another stab at a heavy narrative game.

I sent a passive-aggressive e-mail to Sony support, so I'll give that a couple of days to see if they do anything and then I'll just purchase it if they don't do anything.

Smile: I (very briefly) got to meet Ted Cruz. :)

Frown: Didn't find much of import at the retro store in that town, almost bit on a copy of Ninja Gaiden Shadow, but thought it was a smidge too expensive.

Hoping I can get a bid in on a Turbo Duo, doubt I'll win it at the price I want, but I'm going to try.

Did he make bacon for you or did he take some other stab at likability and/or relevance?

Regardless of one's opinion of the man, the bacon thing was weird.

You know you'd do that if you got the chance!

I thought it was hilarious, myself. But I liked him before that, so... yeah, definitely a stab at likability. I personally don't find him unlikable, but then, I try to separate likability from a person's politics. I'm sure it colors it some for me, but I do try to control it.

Perhaps more ridiculous was the response from The Guardian. I mean, c'mon, it's supposed to be a little tongue-in-cheek. Contacting FoodSafety.gov is just silly.

I cannot support anyone who would so callously waste bacon. Bacon is manna. Bacon is life. Bacon is holy.

I do not understand the fetishizing you Gentiles have for bacon.
