Hush you. A world where women only wear 3" heels or flats is a world I don't want to live in.pepharytheworm wrote: But really noone should be wearing stilettos, bad for your feet and back.

Jokes aside, you are correct on both points. I would like to see the outcry if they decided to unsex the clothing departments. Yes I know there is a need since there are different body builds based on sex, but Id love to see the initial reaction.

Feel free to reject it allpepharytheworm wrote: You are saying some pretty disgusting and ignorant stuff. You are almost saying women are asking for it and deserve it if they are part of male dominated workfroce. And what are you talking about, women syncing up their periods?
By the way gender is made up and ever changing by society, it's not biological like sex.

A variant of this conversation occurred elsewhere and only served to effectively run off 3 good members here. I have no desire to constrain anybody's opinion, but let's remember to keep it civil and not get personal, since this can be a very sensitive topic. Also, since I've already said my piece elsewhere, I won't share my own thoughts on this topic here. Feel free to search if you need to.

You know, say what you want about Trump but he's turned an election I was expecting to have little interest in beyond casting my vote next November into an actually entertaining event.
And it's hilarious how the media announces every misstep he makes, every misstep that would hurt any other candidate, as "the end for Trump" and that "his comments have gone too far." Yet every time he just shrugs it off without apology and gets another bump in the polls. I love that. Someone who is finally willing to stand by what he says, instead of letting the media dictate the appropriateness of his words.

While I do have an appreciation for that, he does it at a level that is a bit looney and just seems out of touch with the common person.
I think he may be riding an anti PC and media wave but will also piss enough people off to get them to vote just to vote against him.

I'd say there is a good chance he's already done this.Jmustang1968 wrote:I think he may be riding an anti PC and media wave but will also piss enough people off to get them to vote just to vote against him.

We're in completely uncharted territory with Trump. He certainly refuses to be cowed by pretty much anyone, and he's definitely not in the business of apologizing for things. I mean, I only really want to hear an apology if you're truly sorry, and I don't think he is.
Even if nothing else happens, he's giving other candidates a blueprint for fighting back. Perhaps not be as bombastic, but don't back down.
I still don't completely trust him, given his background. There are a lot of other folks I'd rather support on the GOP side. But it's definitely made things entertaining! (I think the third-party thing is strategy on his part for leverage over the GOP, but I'm really hoping that he doesn't do it.)
