Any time i want to search for something, i get a 404 error.

I'm not sure what you're doing to even generate that link. I did a search for the keywords "metal gear solid" and here's the URL it accessed:

http://www.racketboy.com/forum/search.p ... mit=Search

Your URL looks like something is intercepting your requests.

We are talking about the Search link that's between the link to your PM inbox and the Members link, right?

We were talking about this problem here: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 95#p991595

I use both, it depends what you're doing. The forum search is very powerful because of how you can filter results. But if you know that one or two keywords make the thread you want the first or second hit, the search bar is MUCH faster to use. Also, the search bar is great if you can't remember the exact wording or spelling of a thread title, since it's more forgiving. It'll never give you the "no suitable matches found." It'll always give you results (except for right now, because it's broken).

I just tried the top search bar. Worked for me (on chrome).

I will look into it. The search bar is working for me on most recent Chrome and Firefox without extensions, for those having issues: what version do you have and what extensions are installed?
