It's tough to be an elementary student when your beard is thicker than the teacher's.

It must have been hard for you, being a monkey and all.

I don't understand chicken and waffles. It's tasty, but who decided to combine the two?

There's even two different versions, the southern soul food version being fried chicken with waffles and syrup and the one I'm more familiar with, the Pennsylvania Dutch version which is roasted chicken on waffles with gravy like an open faced sandwich except with waffles.

I only learned about this a few years ago and was shocked to learn chicken and waffles means something different outside of PA.

I've also heard a story of someone ordering a Coney Burger down south and getting a burger completely drenched with chili. Traditionally a Coney Burger is mustard, onions and "Coney Sauce" which is essentially chili (cheese is optional), not a burger with chili dumped onto it. However I don't know if that was a true regional difference or just that particular diner's interpretation.

Taste of Belgium has the best chicken and waffles. They have a large breaded breast filet, great Belgian waffles, and they cover it all with syrup and hot sauce. It is fantastic.

Didn't know there was a Pennsylvania Dutch chicken and waffles. Something new to try.
