So I don't think anyone said if they're going to Alleluia! The Devil's Carnival when the road show comes to their town (or a nearby town). I'll be going to the Winston Salem, NC stop on the road tour on September 4th if anyone's gonna be in the area Labor Day weekend.

The soundtrack to A:TDC is available digitally on iTunes and Amazon MP3. After downloading it (around 20 after 9am) I ended up listening to it in a loop for about 4 hours! One of my favorite tracks is "Down at the Midnight Rectory", sung by Adam Pascal.

I actually know some comedians who got held up on the border going into Canada because one of them made a joke to the Canadian border patrol. Turns out their border guards don't believe anyone would ever go to Vancouver for a comedy convention.

US / Canada border "security" is hilarious. There are something like 125 border crossings over 5,000+ miles (one crossing every 40 miles - much less really as many are bulked together near the coasts). There are considerable stretches, well over 100 miles w/o any crossings. This is a border between 2 of the 5 largest countries in the world. Other than the coasts - there isn't real management of the border. You are supposed to "report" if you go into the other country. You are supposed to report if you bring in goods. "Uh, hey there Canada, I just came in, dropped off some egg mcmuffins to my girlfriend. Going back now." "Ohhh, that sounds good there neighbor, thanks for checking in."

Seriously. The BWCAW is a place where (unless you check your GPS) you have no idea which country your in for days as your camping and portaging.

Tomorrow I move to the States! I'm super excited despite being really nervous about the border and traffic. Hopefully I'll actually sleep tonight!

I have never been across the US-Canada border. Is it usually a long wait? Where are you headed in the US?

To add another perspective: I have crossed the border many, many times (dated a girl on the other side for a little over a year), and for me the wait has went from literally none (drive up, directly into a booth, get asked maybe 2 questions and waved on) to... I think my longest was 2.5 hours once? I still don't know what was wrong with the lane I chose, the other lanes were all going at a normal pace.

That's of course in a car. I've walked over a few times at Niagara Falls, and that's as easy as could be. A few times I've even had them wave 2-3 of us at once after asking one of us the questions (the fact that they asked what we did for work, and we all work police dispatch, probably helped).

Also haven't had my car searched since I was in my early 20's (in my mid 30's now).

Only time I went through Canada, we were asked what we were coming in for and when and where we planned to exit. We didn't have to talk to anyone coming back through into the US.

Canada was boring though, I can't say I'd go back for fun. It was just like a more expensive version of upstate New York, with more Tim Horton's.

Walked in? She's recorded it at least a half dozen times.

The parody scene in CLERKS II might be the only scene I like in the movie. The line "Boredom is the first step to relapse" (paraphrased), is something Jason said to Kevin one day and Kevin frantically tried to think of something to amuse Jason. So I thought it was a great moment to add into the film, as Jason's addiction is a huge part of Kevin's life.

Although now Smith is also a habitual drug user and Mewes is sober. Weird how things work out.
