Thanks for the spearker tips.
yeh they sound very nice though - the bass bin is very tough too - u can use your winamp EQ to cutoff some of the bass...

yeh us should be ideally trying to get a form of equilateral triangle where your head is at one point :p (although I prefer to be a little more 'inside' it)

you'd be surprised the amount of difference it can make :D - also obviously you should be aiming to have your head ears as close as possible in height to those cubes

Its a LG flatron W2442PA, it does 1920 x 1080. VGA/DVI/HDMI out. It's about 350$ canadian dollar.

Really good monitor for the price.

Rotatable VESA mounts are still pretty expensive. Monoprice has some very cheap ones ($70 or so, rated to 60" and higher) that do standard swivel, but not rotate sadly.

are the mounting bits on back of monitors standard? - I have a SAMSUNG 24" and want to play Shikigami No Shiro III on it vertically (and obviously a load of MAME stuff :p )

Yeah, I know. It makes me sad, since I would love to rotate this bad boy for some awesome verticle action. Maybe if I do really well in Vegas next weekend I'll splurge on it (but it has to be really well, I'm already spending far too much on a Neo + games).

off the top of my head, i play ikaruga (duh), trigger heart exelica, under defeat, shikigami no shiro 2, karous, radiligy, psyvariar 2, and i think trizeal tates too. if the search function on the shmups.com forum wasn't worthless, id send you there. I remember seeing a list of all tateable console shmups, but good luck finding it.
