First time I read this I thought your daughter had been taken by a wild animal. Then I realized you meant one of your livestock.mjmjr25 wrote:My 12yo just called, sobbing. I just read about Rare Replay, it's a cool collection, but srsly? An update for a retro compilation?bmoc wrote:Rare Replay arrived today!
6.2 GB update on day 1 for old games?!?!
When I finally make my foray into the 7th gen I'll probably be kicking and screaming doing it.

It's almost like they need to fix bugs in the emulation of the old games.

We have a badger too, but he's slow. I wasn't home for the fox, but my wife and daughter said he was QUICK! Thing is, they were around (my family), the chickens were in the middle of the yard - a good 40-45' from the tree line. He darted in, grabbed Star, darted out - all in under 6 seconds per my wife. He too came back and circled the coop about an hour later.Omerta wrote:This ol' boy came through and took out every one of my chickens one night. Then he has the balls to come back the next day to set up a new home by my kids' swing set.
I won that round.![]()

I believe the "update"" includes downloading ~10 of the games to your hard drive. I played with the collection a little today: good stuff.bmoc wrote:Rare Replay arrived today!

It is probably the games that had 360 ports. Looks like we are all beta testing backwards compatibility! Hooray!

It's kind of driving me nuts right now, as I watch all these other people get showered with brand new cars for birthdays, going off to college, or because their vehicles weren't doing what they needed at college. I'm not looking at anything that's over $10,000, and I could probably find something for $5000 if I just had the cash to spend.

You can find a perfectly decent car for around 2k.
If you were forced to go to college, drop out.

Don't worry, I didn't get new cars and stuff lavished on me, either. My parents didn't have the money for it.
If college is something that's going to help you earn significantly more later on, I'd definitely stick with it. If it's not, then you should find some other avenue with which to make money. It all depends on where your strengths and talents are.
Oh, and yeah, as long as you're willing to not drive in style, you should be able to find a perfectly functional vehicle for around $2000-3000. And if it's got a quirk like a broken air conditioner, probably even cheaper.

Yeah there are tons of cars in the $2-4k range that will get you from point A-B without having to worry about a ton of maintenance.
