What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I saw that Pyriamid game last Christmas when we were looking for something unique, but yeah, with Pitchcar and Tumblin' Dice already bought for Christmas, we couldn't justify the cost.

My dad built a Tumblin Dice board after seeing ours. Turned out really nice except the speed of the board isn't consistent - he polyed it 3 times sanding in between, but it still has some spots that catch and others that fly.

I feel like everyone should like me. I have lots of hobbies, including watching netflix and getting fat. I'm really covering all bases.

Oh god, I hate being stuck with a group of people who just want to do this all night. Just thinking about it makes me grimace.

Also, all this talk about boardgames makes me really want to play something. I don't have any boardgames and I haven't played any in a while... and the last time I think I played Monopoly and Sorry ughh.

I usually play board games with Netflix on in the background. And I'm on a stationary bike. Drinking beer. Nobody likes me.

Get some carnauba wax and buff it in, that should even it out. Bowling Alley wax works too, but is much more expensive.

My current favorite ice-breaker game is Tsuro. Has great art, the game pieces are a board and square tiles, and the game is simple to play. Very visual-spatial. And since it supports 2-8 players, it works for a wide array of groups.

Plus, you get to send your friends falling off of cliffs. And that, my friends, is what made me smile today.

The first time I played Tsuro I was so shocked by how shallow the game was that I played it five more times in a row just to be sure that I wasn't doing anything wrong. Nope, the game just plays itself and has no strategy whatsoever. I still don't understand why it is so well-liked. Really, I can't, I understand the love for many games I don't think are good but this one? I just don't see it.

:P : Getting kind of tired of the last minute call ins at work :P. Don't get me wrong I love the extra cash, but the wake up calls with 1 hours notice to get to work start to get annoying after a while. My set schedule seems to be a toss up as well as I was told this morning I would be getting training on another route either this week or next week. Wish they would figure shit out ahead of time so I can actually do something with my time off as opposed to waiting around nervously for last minute notices that I'm supposed to be working.

 : Just realized something hilarious. As a postal carrier I earn $16.65 per hour so if I work a full 40 hour week I make a total of $666 before taxes  .

Is that considered a high wage in your region? I'm not saying it is or is not. Just wondering about your perception of that figure given your geographical whereabouts.
