The NHL and NBA playoffs are in full swing, yet the only thing people want to talk about is deflated balls.
I used to love sports radio, but not so much anymore.

Yeah. Just punish him and get it over with. There are other important things going on in sports.Luke wrote:The NHL and NBA playoffs are in full swing, yet the only thing people want to talk about is deflated balls.

Ray McDonald lost his job,
E-I-E-I-Ow.
His rap sheet is three pages long,
E-I-E-I-Ow.
With a misdemeanor here, a felony there,
Here a rape, there abuse, and lawsuits everywhere.
Ray McDonald lost his job,
E-I-E-I-Ow.
I believe the Bears acted accordingly given the current culture of the NFL. It is better to simply wash your hands of a player accused of domestic abuse (again) than deal with the scrutiny, the press, and pressure from the public to release him.

Today's Patriot's media conference is so far...amazing.
Robert Kraft killed it. And for Billy's Boss to speak for him was such a great move.
Bill answers to no one. He keeps responding with "It's already been addressed" and "Getting ready for the start of the season". These reporters need to learn how to formulate questions if they want answers.
If you missed it and love football, I'm sure the entire ordeal will be on ESPN (and will be the only thing they talk about for the next few weeks).
If you missed it and don't love football:
Robert Kraft told Goodell to F*** off. And Bill told the reporters to F*** off.

I can't stand the Pats, but even I think the four-game suspension is a bit too harsh. I think a lot of that, though, may be because Brady destroyed his phone in an effort to not cooperate. Just that tells me that he's as guilty as they come... I just don't know that it merits a suspension for that long.
They've always pushed the boundaries a little too hard. I still remember watching that Super Bowl against the Rams, and swearing up and down it seemed like they knew every play call. It all became a lot clearer when all the Spygate stuff hit.
Brady is going to have his image tarnished forever with this, and the irony is that I don't think it really offered that much of a competitive advantage. He easily had the opportunity to go down as greater than Peyton Manning, but I don't see that happening anymore, Super Bowl wins or not. (For the record, I'm a fan of Peyton, so take with a grain of salt.)

I doubt brady's image is tarnished. No one gives a shit about the psi of footballs. Someone let him know you can delete texts though lol.
Re: NFL 2015 THREAD
His image isn't tarnished.
This entire thing is beyond silly and only a reason for the NFL to remind people of the upcoming season. It's like when an NHL goalie's pads are too big; you fine him.
If an NFL O-liner's shoulder pads aren't within regulation, you fine him.
Nobody died here. No woman was punched. No reason to take Brady's phone, phone records, etc. This is so ¿¿¿Quién es más macho???
And dammit NFL, if you are awarding a player who has died at least allow the family to speak for a minute or two. That's disrespectful to the family of the deceased.

Yeah, no.
Tebow, "Johnny", RG III, and now Winston. Busts.
Feel free to say that we haven't seen enough of Winston yet, because that's true. but yikes. The kid can't take a snap. He was responsible for nearly four turnovers, in preseason.
Now! With the rule changes on the PAT maybe these guys could work for the benefit of the team. Football is probably the most "situational structured" professional sport that comes to mind. Sure, in hockey you may change your defensive and offensive configurations, but the game is basically played on the fly. In the NFL you have time to place every play under the current situation.
So if one guy can get you two yards, take 'em.
