Is there any reason to own FF XI?

I have a chance to get a complete, new in the box copy of Final Fantasy XI with the game, hard drive, etc. for a fairly reasonable price. Is there ANY single player aspect to the game? I have no intention of every playing it online. Might be good to have the HDD though.

No single player. Also, the online is terrible too. So much mob grinding, and it takes forever to do anything. I played for about 8 hours, and I was only able to just leave the starting zone, and I only had about 2 or 3 moves, so combat was very repetitive

Nope, I'd have to buy that as well so in the end we'd be talking well over $100 for a HDD I probably wouldn't make use of much if at all and a game I'd never make use of. I think I'll pass!

Definitely not worth it. You'd be better off getting it on PC and only if you REALLY want to play it. There's much better MMORPGs out there for PC users anyway.
