What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Keep in mind though, I believe the estimate for the Sinaloa's contribution is 80% of all drugs in Chicago. Stopped that will cause a huge kink in the flow of revenue. It's not a quick fix, but in a decade things will be considerably better. Other measures include education programs in school, ensuring kids have access to continuous education, creating alternatives to jail for addicts(such as rehab programs), and potentially even relaxing possession laws to ensure that people don't end up in jail or prison early on in their lives or have their families broken up as a result.

Couldn't we just take a page from Carlin's book, fence off Wyoming, and move all the gangs there and leave them alone to do whatever they want to each other?

I really hope one day we get Carlin's "Untold Jokes" joke book. I also really hope we get a release on the more than one hundred tracks the Beastie Boys recorded at G-Son.MrPopo wrote:Couldn't we just take a page from Carlin's book, fence off Wyoming, and move all the gangs there and leave them alone to do whatever they want to each other?
Get what Ack is getting at, but there is still re, and re, and re, and re, and re, and re, and re, and redistribution. People have an unquenchable thirst for getting high, and cutting one cartel opens the door for another.
It's like the famous quote "I'd take prohibition over no alcohol at all"...we need to find a way to Warren G the situation and regulate. At least that's one of my thoughts. Without methadone clinics I would have lost more friends, and the world would have lost Anthony Bourdain.
We're all addicts in one way or another. Regulating our addictions could change our perception of addiction.

It's a good thing I didn't have any cash on me, but tomorrow I'm probably gonna go back with at least $50 and get some cool stuff. I can actually afford to be a Saturn owner over here.

The SAT-J and N64-J cart about what they sell for on ebay before shipping, but an $8 DS lite is extremely solid.BoringSupreez wrote:: Went to Off House in Hamura today. Let's just say you can get a lot more bang per buck here than on Ebay. They had an $8 DS Lite and a $24 Saturn. Banjo Tooie was $3.
You should PM me with what Neo games they have - i'd pay you for your time

So as you remember, or ICYMI, I bought my ticket to the road show for...

...and will be seeing it in Winston-Salem, NC on September 4th.
It'll be the first thing I've seen in theaters since The Lorax, which was over three years ago.
And I asked someone I know if she's interested in going (been asking everyone I know, mostly on Facebook, since I pretty much only accept friend requests from people I know). She said possibly and I loaned her my copy of the first one. I also told her about REPO! The Genetic Opera (also made by Terrance Zdunich and Darren Lynn Bousman). She said she might have her car fixed by then.
Also thinking about asking my cousins (the youngest will be attending college about an hour away this fall and his older brother will be a sophomore at the same school), since I know that the oldest of the two really likes metal and might like TDC (yes I know TDC isn't metal). I really just wanna share this with as many of my friends and family as possible.
