Btd5 Cool Math

I don't think you have to avoid the PSP version of Oath. Sure, it's not quite as nice, but the framerate is fine and it all plays identically. That's where I beat it (after playing a good amount of it on PC), so if that's your only option, it won't be too bad.
Now, Ark, I've heard bad things about the PSP port. Mostly revolving around load times, which may be mitigated if you're running from a memory stick. Dunno. I already had it on PS2, so I passed over the PSP version.

Yeah Felghana is just fine on PSP.
On the other hand, Napishtim is sluggish. The "bonus areas" (the "trials" or whatever) are also completely different and not as good.

I'm not saying Oath is unplayable on PSP, the game's perfectly playable. I'm saying from a level of onscreen detail perspective, Oath on PSP pales in comparison to how the PC version looks running at even just twice the resolution of the PSP. So if someone has the ability to play the PC version, I recommend it over the PSP for that reason.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I was telling Exhuminator earlier that I was having a hard time glomming on to a new game. I tend to flit from game to game until I find one that hooks me.
Well, looks like I found it in Child of Light. Really, really enjoying it. I almost wish I hadn't looked up some stuff about the Stardust, though, as I found out there's a little bit of DLC... that the Wii U version didn't get. Not a ton, but still. Ah well, the game is still absolutely wonderful. I've been taking my time with it, and it can get a little draggy if you're trying to beat down all the enemies on the map... but the combat system is good enough that it's no big deal in the long run. It's basically Grandia without the movement, but with a couple of twists with your little helper firefly.
I honestly kinda wish I'd gone ahead and dropped the $15 on it a while back, it's easily that good, and they could probably do a retail version for twice that and still have it be worth it.
EDIT: And apparently there is a physical release for Vita.

Phantasy Star
Cruisin' around Dezoris, the ice planet.
I feel like my inventory is cluttered with crap. Like, I don't know what I can sell and what I need to hold on to. For instance, will I ever use that gas shield again? I have beaten the game before but that was many years ago.

With Illusion of Gaia beaten, I will be starting up a new game. And that new game is Dragon Warrior III on the NES.
I have beaten Dragon Warrior I, II, VII and VIII, so I have skipped around a bunch. I loved II and VIII and I thought I and VII were good. I have heard fantastic things about III, so I am super excited to be playing this one now!
