Stupid question, but you have a space after Vehicle in each of the places it shows up in the formula. Are you sure the name of the sheet has a space in it?Luke wrote:And you! Ask your computer whizzes. Please. I know it's just one stupid mistake I made in the formula.
It's Total from one sheet, plus Grand Total from another sheet. It should be simple.

No question is a stupid one.Stark wrote: Stupid question, but you have a space after Vehicle in each of the places it shows up in the formula. Are you sure the name of the sheet has a space in it?
I rewrote the equation, and it works for the entire year of 2014.
Now to see how it works for 2015 and 2016.
I've been using excel ofr at least a decade and this has been my first "head scratcher".

Why do people give attention to the kardashians and the jenners? How is being who you are being brave and warrants an award?jp1 wrote: Challenge accepted.
Why don't I get an award from ESPN for saying "After years of pretending I like Mortal Kombat for the Genesis, the truth is I'm here today to say I'm actually a SF2 on the SNES guy, and that is who I am!"?

"Why isn't the ladder floating?"
That's the dumbest question I've ever heard asked. I'll let you guys wonder about that one for a minute, then I'll tell you the story behind it. I bet even Luke will have to agree it was a dumb, stupid question.

I actually have a good one.
A few years ago my wife and I were at the push button museum in Chicago, and while walking down a flight a stairs. At the last step a lady asked us "Do these stairs go up?".

Re: The Advice Thread
does anyone know a lot about printers? I've been asked to shop for one because people assume that if you know about computers then you know about printers. Like is anyone in the printer/office supply biz?
Re: The Advice Thread
Yes. I also have a buddy who runs the printing press shop at my local University.noiseredux wrote:does anyone know a lot about printers? I've been asked to shop for one because people assume that if you know about computers then you know about printers.

Re: The Advice Thread
The important questions first are do you need a printer or an all in one? And do you need it color or just black and white?
Once you figure that out, there are lots of options for every price point.
