I just learned about New Ghostbusters II from Iwata's passing. I'm definitely gonna have to try this one out, it looks awesome. Also, looks like they've been using that "New" title scheme for a while now lol. Can't wait to watch the video!

edit: I just watched the video.

The NES carts were long like that simply because of the design of the console (front loading). The PCBs in most cards took up only half the inside, if that much. I think the only PCBs that took up the entire inside of the cart shell were prototypes and such.

As for carts with the adapter inside, here's a full proof guide for identifying them: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/hacks/gy ... pter-guide

I nominate to add Star Fox Adventures. I remember a lot of people not liking it when it first came out just because it was radically different than previous Star Fox games. That's a BS reason not to like a game, if you ask me. It's the Star Fox universe with Legend of Zelda gameplay, and it was made by Rare before Microsoft bought them. So really, if you like Star Fox, like Zelda gameplay, and like Rareware games on Nintendo consoles, you're pretty much guaranteed to like this game. If you're only a fan of Zelda-like games (action-adventure) then there's still a good chance you'll like it.

Worth playing today? I think so. The game has great graphics. It has a true 16:9 widescreen option. It looks fantastic in 480p on an HDTV. Also, it's still really cheap.

Great video, as always. Very informative! I like the orange cube, never seen that one before. I believe I've only come across the indigo and silver versions. I agree the console was a great one, all time favorite! Didn't know about that cable that sells for almost $300 (Ridiculous).

I enjoyed Star Fox Adventures as well... as long as you don't go into it looking for an on-rails shooter, there is a lot to like about it.

Although orange spice GameCubes were never released in the U.S. the controllers were.

I got one recently for $6.00.

Also not necessarily rare, the wavebird receiver is sometimes hard to find. You have a better chance of finding the controller before you find the receiver.

Speaking of the Gamecube, I've been playing Metroid Prime recently and loving every second of it; glad you mentioned those! Love the exploration aspect to it over the standard-fare FPS style Retro Studios could have easily gone to instead and potentially ruin the game. Great video MJR!

Smash Bros. Melee should have gotten more love. It's probably the best one!

F-Zero GX. I'm really surprised this wasn't even mentioned.

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure
WarioWorld
Resident Evil/Zero
Viewtiful Joe
Killer 7
Battalion Wars
