I did finish the first anime series, as in I watched all the episodes. I can understand why people enjoy the series, it's certainly not terrible or anything. It just didn't click for me.

They are being sold for a pittance, and Vita games are generally pretty cheap, so it's not hard to justify the cost - just be aware of what corner you are painting yourself into.

Ah don't worry, I know about that  It plays nearly all the games I want to play right now, so I don't mind much (plus it allows me to record some Vita game footage). I do plan on getting both the TV and a Vita eventually though.

Hm? I'm not sure exactly where you're looking, but the PC version is about $30... There is a limited edition with extra stuff that is pretty expensive though.

Ah ha! Seems like GameFAQs links to that collector's edition instead of the normal one..... which is odd. Anyway, thanks. Maybe I'll get it for $30.

Just realized that Steins;Gate is available on Netflix (at least in Canada) and started to check out the show as a way to decide if I'm interested in checking out the upcoming Vita game. Huh. It's not really selling me after the first episode.

In the meantime, playing Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time with my kids on PSTV. They love the cartoon-ish style and narrative, and the game has been pleasant so far. (What does "pleasant" mean? I'm not really compelled to play further, but enjoy it well enough when my kids ask to see more.)

When kids aren't around, really enjoying a re-play of Half Minute Hero. I know... it's not even a Vita game... but it's still awesome, plays well on Vita/PSTV, and is perfect for those few minutes available before bed each night.

(Also tracked down copies of Tales of Hearts R and Ys: Memories of Celceta - both games that are getting hard to find locally. I think the only released game I'm still interested in grabbing for PSTV is Killzone.)

Still chugging through Freedom Wars up to a Code 4 now. Difficulty was starting to pick up till I figured out the upgrading/modification for weapons. Also just got access to augmentations which give some nice stats boosts that help out.

Anyone else interested in/excited for the Odin Sphere remaster coming to Vita? Atlus is pretty good about providing retail copies, and I'm a sucker for the gorgeous art. If PSTV compatible, it would sit nicely beside Muramasa and Dragon's Crown in my collection...

How long did it take to get that far? I guess that game has decent online, wondering if I should start plugging through now or just plan to play mostly solo (which is what I've done for Monster Hunter lately).

I probably have around 12-15 hours in now. I'm a Code 5 and I've played through pretty much all the optional missions up to this point as well. That time is including probably 2-3 hours of idling though since after building up good a supply of materials I'll sometimes watch some anime on my PC while waiting for the crafting process to complete. I also spent a lot of time exploring the environment and talking to NPCs at first, but I've kind of moved away from doing that since there isn't much to be gained from it aside from some interesting albeit meaningless conversations.

Probably going to keep soloing on and finish the game then try out the online content. Might try a few co-op matches later on if I get bogged down somewhere and need to build up some entitlements, and crafting materials. However I feel like I would get wrecked trying to play any competitive matches at this point though.

Starting to get the hang of the thorn a little bit better now it really comes in handy for revives if you can get the hang of aiming it, and it's really easy to chain multiple mid air dash attacks with it if you get the timing down.

The missions are starting to get pretty challenging at this point the game is starting to pair abductors up into some interesting combos as well as introduce shields that negate most ranged attacks. It's quite a change of pace when you have to keep track of two abductors at once and I've really had to adapt my strategies quite a bit.

Not unless the remaster offers some meaningful extra content. I've already got this game on PS2 and it looks mighty fine as is. Graphics were never that game's actual problem.

From the video it looks like they're doing a remake of the gameplay to take some cues from Muramasa. There's more of a vertical component (some ledge platforming) and the combat looks like it has more options in it.

Found a "NEW"(shelf copy) copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia PP for $15 today so I picked it up. Remembered the compatibility list having most of the Neptunia games but sadly PP isn't one of them. That being said it is compatible with the PSTV in Asia and Japan according to the Wiki so maybe the US will get a compatibility patch at some point in the future :P.
