Even as a huge Star Wars fan I would say KOTOR is the only game I really liked a lot. Dark Forces and Jedi Knight were cool back in the day, and Shadows of the Empire too to some extent. Other than that........I mean I guess the 32X game was cool at the time. Never played TIE Fighter and the like though. Seems Star Wars has mostly been great on the PC though the more I talk about it.

Never played Super Star Wars until recently but I found it lazy and unnecessarily difficult, and the theme being played by the SNES is one of the most painful bits of audio I've ever heard. That system's sound chip could crank out some really awesome stuff. That song was not part of that stuff.

It's a large task. You got the arcade games by Atari & Sega, the Parker Brothers 2600 games, the NES games, the Super trilogy on the SNES, tons of PC stuff, N64 & Gamecube, Lego Star Wars.....

We can all agree on one thing, don't ever turn Star Wars into a fighting game.

There are just so many Star Wars games it isn't even funny. I think that there should be a separation of PC and Console though in the rankings. Separate, but equal.....

Well, first you have to consider that most of the Star Wars games are Expanded Universe content. If you want to attempt ranking them like the films, do you then only go for the games that cover the films specifically?

Because Empire is always the best.

Always.

Super Return of the Jedi is lots better than Super Empire Strikes Back. Both games are great, but Jedi gets the "Force" right and in a much better way.

Maybe I should clarify and say...

Rank the Movie Based Star Wars Games. So forget Pod Racer, Bobba Fett's Adventure of jumping, Kotor, and The Douche Unleashed, etc.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Episode II on the xbox. It's a total tease for the movie, but so much fun.

My sister-in-law used to constantly play that "pod racing" game or whatever it was on N64. I hated it but I think it may have been partly because I hate the "new" Star Wars movies. Eventually she gave me all her N64 games and that was the only one I refused.

Shadows of the Empire was the shit though.

You mean Episode III? It was pretty fun, from what I remember of it back on PS2. It was a lot like EA's LotR games on the same systems.

Episode III on GBA/DS is a surprisingly good brawler.

I could never get into the Super Star Wars games. I always feel like I'm just flailing around.
