Places to Buy NES & SNES Repros?

Post by darthmunky »

What are the best sites to buy repros from?

The cheapest I've found is JC Retail (http://www.jcretail.ca/snes-repro-games/), but they only sell SNES repros and a lot of the labels say "reproduction" on them or are just not the best label art available. But they all cost 39.99 which is decent. There is tax, however, and it came to 57$ total with shipping. Are there any repro sites that sell them for much cheaper?

I found this at Nintendo Age, I've been wanting to order mega man & bass from them.

ive been wanting to also find a good repro deal on wild guns, since i'll never shell out the going price.

My 2 cents...

All hacks and translations come out to be less than a cent each, so this is the cheapest option.

Yes, I know you were asking about repro carts and probably already know all about flash carts. I'm just saying.

a guy on Nintendoage named SavepointVG makes repro carts using 100% new PCB and shells, no donor carts are used. And he does them for 3 for $75 shipped. Thats the best deal I have seen, I love my everdrive but there is something nice about having a dedicated cart of an RPG we never got in the states, I'm much more likely to play it through than just a rom on a flashcart.

Yep. That SavePointVG guy is a good dude to deal with. Here's a link:

If you don't want to sign up with Nintendo Age, he has a Facebook link at the bottom of the thread, too.

Yeah avoid NA, too much politics and self serving tactics for the collector control freaks, but definitely go through SavePoint. He is a real shop owner, good standing store and has a very honorable and fair pricing and trade-in value thing going there too which keeps his store good with variety. I recall his repros as people said being cheap, but also of solid quality, so definitely hit that facebook up and contact the dude/the store and go for it.

And if you live in the area, best place to get used games and turn them in if you avoid ebay. He gives a higher percentage on stuff in, and sells stuff under ebay value by a decent amount, just not decent enough it's worth it for trolls to poach and flip. It's not a buy it now amazon fantasy land pricing store.

While I'm here in this though, as a spin-off...
Who makes the best quality for accuracy, clarity, and color when it comes to after market NES labels? I'm going to need one shortly for NES Earthbound (not the shitty Zero hack, the pure game.) You never can tell from website stock imagery.

Someone on TCP did a great Earthbound Beginnings label when the official title was announced a while back... Shenske maybe?

Doesn't help you for printing it, but it's out there if you find a service
