I got my hands on one of these on the cheap for about $30 sans power adapter and FDD operator CD.



There's pretty much no good english source on how to actually use it as the FDD operator interface is only in Japanese, so maybe it'll save somebody from accidentally erasing some saves.

Also, it gives you the only way to backup your Sega Rally ghost save, which for me, is THE MOST IMPORTANT save other than the Sega Rally system save.

FYI, the ps2 version can be forced to true widescreen on an actual ps2.

Yes, but the saves can only be transferred to the floppy from either the system memory or memory cart.

You will need a Backup Memory Cart plugged in and the Saturn automatically saves your best run per course, so you will not be able to choose to save Ghost Replay data. Only when the best time is beaten, will the replay data be updated.

Since the ghost replay data is huge, using the floppy to back up that save file is a must, especially if you've invested tons of time into the game- especially Time Attack. I've lost my past replay data, and had some incredible times. I must have invested over 200 hours into the Time Attack, and when my Backup cart got corrupted, I almost cried. I wish I had the proof of my incredible runs back in the '90s. My gaming skills have eroded, and can only wish to accomplish them now.
