Would you really want to spend 80 dollars just for something that will convert the input without increasing quality? From the images, it looks like you'd need to buy PS2 component cables also. All this going to a high resolution monitor will make it look like crap. How hard is it to clear a bit of space under your tv for a Slim Ps2?

They have upscalers, but that can get pricey. I personally like S video, it helps hide the jaggys while maintaining a good picture.

You can pull the signals from the PS2 A/V out, but will need to separate the sync. I used gamesx.com guide and got mine to work. It was a long time ago, but I hacked the component cables to work with my VGA monitor. Now that I have a component TV it's of no use. I think it only worked with 480p/progressive scan games.

It doesn't have any other input beasides vga or dvi? Better swap it for another one rather than expending $80 on an adapter.
