They'll be a bit dirty, probably need new buttons, but you'll have working cabs delivered within 10 days of sending him money.
A: That's ridiculously fast
B: I'll never be in that much of a hurry
C: I gotta talk to you about basic monitor repair soon... my NG's not perfect, but I think it'll just be a matter of degaussing or something... I really just need to track down a "monitor repair 101" somewhere.

Actually while I'm bored, let's type it up:

This is most noticeable in the menu screen of my 161 cart, so I'm not entirely certain if it's the 161 or not... and I'm at work so unable to take pics and show it off, but the numbers on the list (and the arrow that points at them) is having... color separation is perhaps the best way to put it? Like, red + blue would combine to output purple... so it has the red displaying just a fraction of an inch right/left of the blue. I'm not sure if that's something that could be fixed with a degauss wand, or if I'll need to recap, or something entirely different. People always seem to say "Well time to do XXX" but never really say how they arrive at that conclusion.

I'd much rather see an English release of Princess Crown.

Odin Sphere is an amazingly beautiful game with a fantastic story, interesting crafting system, but is a complete and total CHORE to play. Seriously, IMO it's a bad game that just happens to have disguised itself very well.

And if anyone was wondering about my Mega Man X6 adventures... I got the jumper part and got past the jump that's been blocking me on my first try. Then beat the game! HOORAY! Yeah! **checks unlockables in MMX Collection** still missing some... seems I'd have to beat X6 again using Zero and play through the whole things ONCE MORE without even unlocking Zero. FUCK THAT SHIT, this collection will have some gaps!

I have such mixed feelings about Odin Sphere. I was super mega excited about that game when it came out. I bought it and played it on release day. When I first started playing it, I loved it. That is until I beat the first chapter. That's when I found out that the the game massively recycles content across its chapters. And what I was really playing was a game with about 5 hours of content continuously recycled with different lead characters to create a 40 hours experience. I quit playing the game about 1/3rd of the way into the second chapter because of that. I was incredibly disappointed. I consider going back and just forcing myself through the monotony though because of how amazing its presentation is.

Anyway hopefully the remake can at least keep the frame rate stable this time.

If you only got to the second chapter you have no idea what unstable framerates are. Try Velvet vs. Belial and a Wizard for all your slowdown needs.

Good work, managing to claw through that ordeal of a game is an accomplishment. Enjoy Mega Man Zero.

It's Batman-Day, if you didn't already know.

Indie theaters and comic shops are doing all things Batman...kind of.

Asked my shop if they would like me to set up two CRT's, one with a Genesis, the other with an NES. I would have kept the multitude of games behind the register, but would allow people to swap out games and would monitor the consoles as well.

I've been going to this shop for over ten years and thought they would be thrilled as the only attraction that they have is the announcement of "It's Batman Day!". They said "No room", and I asked "Can't you make room?"...

Insert fat comic book store worker joke here as they have more than enough room but don't want to get off their fat asses. But why try to market an event where they don't want any new business? Sigh. Keep pushing that stereotype comic book shop employees as you are fantastic at it.

Okay I officially hate Metal Gear Solid 3. This is the second time I've tried to fight through it and I can't even get past the first couple bits.

The controls are ghastly. Not to mention one of the first times you try to stealth you have to spot a wasp's nest to shoot down on top of the guards, represented by a random grayish blob in the trees. Well no matter what I do I can only get one guard to flee from the wasps, so I tranquilize the other one. This is all while I try to figure out why the fuck I'm stuck in first person view as I crawl through weeds and can't see a god damn thing. I try to scale the cliff side then turn and switch to scale the side of the rope bridge. As far as I can tell it can't be done. You have to expose yourself, get on the bridge and quickly jump over the railing to do it. Then the guard who 'ran away' is still patrolling the bridge and somehow spots me hanging off the side.

I fucking hate this game, and I've played the first two and liked them (more so the first one). Never had these problems. Also I realize camo is a big part of this installment but I can't see shit. Everything is tan/brown/green and I can't spot a guard until he's about 10 feet away from Snake.
