The PSTV not being able to play Ys: Memories of Celceta is a big deal to me. But at least it can play Persona 4 Golden.

True story: first Vita game I bought was at GameStop. As you know "The Stop" sells their games open and the clerk has to stuff the game and/or instructions in the case.

So I bought Ragnarok Odyssey and looked the game over once I reached my car. I figured the girl behind the counter forgot the manual so I went back in and asked her about it. Got schooled on the whole "no manual" thing. I felt dumb because the clerk was really cute (but she was not the Cute GameStop Girl aka CGSG - she worked at a different location).

Wait, where was I? Oh yeah, the no manuals is lame. Especially since the cases have "tabs" for one.

I don't get this PSTV thing.... Some Vita games don't work? Ones with "touch" controls I assume?

This gets me all the time too. What else is there supposed to be inside? I start to worry over which game has an insert at least. I know some games like Wipeout has the online pass.

Someone should make a list of vita games with special paper inserts inside. A list with the opposite of manuals... :?

I'm sure it will be a short list though.

Actually Bone, quite a few games that do NOT have touch controls won't work, I'm violently upset that not even Hot Shots Golf works. So sad :(

The only games I've got with inserts on Vita either had a download code (FFX-2 for example) or an AR card (Project DIVA F 2nd)

Well it's consistent at least, I've got over 40 Vita games and none of them have manuals.

Touch screen games can cause issues, especially games that use both the front and back touch screens. Games that utilize the Vita's camera also don't work. And since some games only use that camera briefly (as in to solve one contrived puzzle) it still makes those games unbeatable on the PSTV.

Recently grabbed a PSTV. With the bundles selling for $50, it seemed like decent value. Gives me another way to enjoy my digital PSP and PSOne Classics, with the chance to play some Vita games as a nice bonus.

Kind of a mixed bag so far.

This was a big blow to me too - really expected Ys to work, and was really hoping to play that game. Apparently it does work in Japan and they just didn't bring the patch over for North America.

There are a bunch of games (across Vita, PSP, and PSOne Classics) that seem like they should work... so it's a real shame they don't. Missing Netflix also seems like a pretty big omission. Easy to see why PSTV failed given the current state of support/compatibility.

However, it's pretty awesome to play though a bunch of old RPGs on the big screen and I'm pretty stoked to play Dragon's Crown and Persona 4 Golden. Considering the small size and low cost, I like it. Certainly not for everyone though.

I can't think why Hot Shots Golf wouldn't work, that's a major bummer. Great game.

There are whitelist games and blacklist games in each region. It's just lame. Word on the street after Sony drops support for the vita there will be a custom firmware that will allow ALL games to work regardless of how it's supposed to be played. Sony really dropped the ball on the PSTV. Regardless, I love mine as an emu machine and being able to play ALL of my PSP games full screen.

Picked up Toukiden The Age of Demons and Resistance Burning Skies(Sadly not compatible, but it was like $5 clearenced so I figured I'd chance it). Still having alot of fun with Freedom Wars really liking the whole buying your way to freedom gimmick hopefully the game play doesn't get to repetitive.
