I picked up some monster cable component cables when I got my HDTV a few years back. Now they work with my PS3. Just check amazon. I think the PS3 ones may work as well.

Yep any PS3 component cable will work with the PS2. There is no difference whatsoever between a PS2 component cable and a PS3 one.

Buy the least expensive component cable that works with PS2/PS3. High cost cables won't perform any better than low cost ones when it comes to transmitting a digital signal. Analog signals are different and benefit from quality cables, but spending big bucks on a cable for a digital signal is just wasting money.

This is true. Read reviews on a brand before you buy the cables, some analog cables do not work as well as others.

Monoprice. Unless your PS2 is 50+ feet away from your TV their stuff is, frankly, as good as stuff costing 5 times as much.

Whoops. I got to thinking about digital TV and lost track of what the signal in question is made of.
