Systems: VA4 Genesis Model 2 and 32x
Video Connection: Composite Video on a CRT HDTV
The problem: I'm getting some sort of interference, most noticeable when there is white text on dark background. It doesn't warp the picture or anything. But it will leave a dark horizontal bar of where the bright text/pixels are with some fuzziness in that bar. I'm not even sure this is called interference tbh.
Now... In general, my CRT HDTV already has this issue with red and white on dark backgrounds. It will leave a darker horizontal bar/backdrop. But using the 32x seems to make it worse with some extra fuzziness.
The 32x came with all the extras (metal brackets, CD dongle, space, etc.) and I'm using all of them. I tried using different A/V cables.
Also, I'm using a Mega Everdrive.
It's not that big of a deal, but I'm more interested if this is a common issue with 32x systems? I noticed that composite video on a 32x is slightly more sharper than my VA4 Model 2 Genesis, and the 32x has little to no rainbow banding. So I'm curious if this is the trade off with using the 32x [more interference].

Re: Some Interference when using 32x Addon
I have some harsh jailbar interference happening on solid blue colors through RGB in mine. I'm using a model 1 genesis with a model 1 Sega CD. All the metal brackets are there and I'm using everything that's recommended for best quality output.
I thought it was the factory original video patch cable, but buying another better-made one didn't change anything.
I think it's actually internally caused by the 32x.
It only happens when the 32x and cables for it are set up.
I'm using the Mega Everdrive. I don't actually own any 32X games

Re: Some Interference when using 32x Addon
Are you using the stock Genesis II AC Adapter? The 32X requires more juice than it is able to provide (I estimate 1,8~2,0A).
Interferences may also be caused by a weak ground signal.

A very good point! I got the right adapter, but I will try another and see if it improves or worsens the problem. Thanks for that!
