Has anyone else had this problem on the 360? or any other console for that matter?

Rocksmith 2014 problems
So I got Rocksmith 2014 for my 360 last Christmas but I was never able to play it due to my guitar being broken. (Broken Nut) But just the other day I tried to pop it in to check out what songs were on it since I was finally able to afford getting my guitar fixed this week and come to find out it wouldnt read the disc. Tried everything from cleaning the game, clearing system cache, unplugging controllers etc. The game is brand new and doesnt have a mark on it. So I gave the game to my buddy to install it on a usb drive for me and it worked fine on his Xbox.Only problem was I didnt realize the only way to play installed games was on the original console it was installed on
